South Korean automobile manufacturer Kia Motor is planning to launch the new pro_cee'd GT hatchback in the second half of 2013.

The new hatchback will be powered by a 1.6L turbocharged GDI I-4 petrol engine,which will be mated to a six-speed manual transmission,is expected to generate an output of about 200hp(149 kW)and 265Nm of torque.

Based on the carmaker's earlier pro_cee'd model,the new hatckback is expected to be unveiled at the upcoming Geneva motor show in Switzerland during March 2013.

The new model will also feature an updated front fascia with additional LED lights and a larger wheel and tires.

Kia has unveiled the pro_cee'd hatchback at the 2012 Paris motor show,which is offered with engine choices ranging from CRDI as well as GDi 1.4L and 1.6L units,are scheduled to go on sale in Europe during the first half of 2013.

The carmaker is also planning to launch the five-door hatchback and estate versions of the new pro_cee'd hatchback.
